Since graduating from the University of Bristol and completing his PGCE, Michael White has taught mathematics in Somerset. As a head of maths for 30 years, Michael has overseen a highly successful mathematics department within a rapidly expanding 11-18 school.

 

His exam results for GCSE and A Level have consistently been amongst the best in the country. Over his career, Michael has seen numerous changes to the GCSE and A Level curriculum, but has continuously guided students to exam success. This has repeatedly been recognised by Ofsted, which has given Michael numerous 'outstanding' ratings over the years.

The wealth of knowledge gained over his career in education encouraged Michael to author several maths textbooks, published by Elmwood Education. To date he has sold over half a million copies nationwide, which have become valuable teaching resources for schools across the country. Michael updates all these books in line with the most up-to-date curriculum changes, enabling him to offer relevant and targeted maths tuition.
